What does CH38 or F4 mean on an LG mini-split?
LG says CH38 / F4 means the air conditioner is low on refrigerant — and directs owners to contact the installation technician to inspect the unit. Low refrigerant means a leak somewhere in the system; see refrigerant leak repair for what a proper fix involves.
My LG unit has a blinking LED or CH 00 — what now?
LG's recommended first step is to turn off the circuit breaker, wait 5 minutes, then restore power. If the same error code or symptoms persist, LG says a thorough inspection by a technician is necessary. And if the breaker won't turn back on, LG is explicit: don't keep resetting it — request service.
LG warranty: who handles the claim?
For LG HVAC products covered by its warranty card, the owner contacts the licensed contractor who installed the product, or the nearest licensed contractor or dealer, and installation must be by a licensed HVAC technician. Register your unit through LG product registration if you haven't. We're not affiliated with LG.
